
Asha-B is a distinguished artist, percussionist, and member of the renowned Big Ship Alliance Band. He has worked with some of the most respected names in the reggae industry, earning recognition for his versatility and deep musical roots. His journey began at just 13 years old, when he formed his first school band, Amlak, where he honed his skills in percussion and backing vocals. Asha-B’s early career was guided by the legendary Jackie Mittoo of Studio One, Kingston, Jamaica. Over the years, Asha-B has collaborated and performed with reggae icons such as Ijahman Levi, Culture, and Freddie McGregor, taking his music to audiences across the world. Beyond the stage, he is dedicated to community development, teaching African drumming in schools, community centers, conferences, and institutions, passing on the cultural heartbeat of percussion to the next generation.
