Piero Dread is an Italian singer,guitarist,and producer, recognized as a leading figure in the European reggae and global roots scene. He began his professional career as the frontman of Franziska, a band with which he recorded 2 albums, performed at major international reggae festivals, and won the European Rototom Sunsplash Contest, quickly establishing himself on the European live circuit. Over the years, he has collaborated with various Italian and international artists, including, Alborosie, Morgan Heritage, Luciano,Anthony B,Turbulence,Nina Zilli,Lion D, and Raphael,frequently serving as musical director and live band coordinator for touring projects. His solo discography includes Real Vibes,bestseller on Amazon's reggae charts, and #Interplay. Between 2022 and 2024, he released several self-produced singles co-written with Jamaican songwriter Patrick Reid. In 2025, he began recording his third solo album "Another step"(2026),scheduled for release in april,featuring a more intimate and contemporary sound with soul influences and international guests such as Alborosie. In 2014, he gained wider public recognition through his participation in The Voice of Italy.
