J. Written, born Jason Rasheed Wright on January 18, 1994, in Kingston, Jamaica, has been passionate about writing from a young age, using it as a creative outlet during his childhood. His early work included journals, poems, and essays, later expanding into music as he became involved with the Trench Town community. At 16, he founded the ACEZ dancers, and by 18, he was producing beats and writing songs. His talents caught the attention of reggae producer Doctor Dread, leading to the production of his debut album, Kaleidoscope, set for release in 2024. J. Written also plays Junior Braithwaite in the Bob Marley film One Love. Through his music, he aims to provoke thought and challenge societal norms while remaining active and positive.
