Gosple Fish is a veteran reggae and dancehall artist whose musical journey began in 1985, but whose connection to music started much earlier, growing up surrounded by the sounds and traditions of his Rasta family.
From a young age, Gosple Fish learned to play the Ketteh drums from his Rasta father, later developing his skills on the bass guitar and full drum kit. Those early musical foundations became a natural part of his identity and helped shape the distinctive sound and lyrical style that would follow throughout his career.
Since his first recordings in 1985, Gosple Fish has worked with some of the respected names, producers, studios and labels across the reggae and dancehall world, including Sony/Polydor, Sly & Robbie Taxi, Penthouse, Sinbad, Volcano and Top Rank to name a few, as well as artists and producers from outside the reggae scene.
His work has also received recognition in major reggae reference publications, including Colin Larkin’s Guinness Who’s Who of Reggae and The Virgin Encyclopedia of Reggae.
After taking a period away from releasing music to concentrate on another passion — writing — Gosple Fish is now returning to put more of his music and creative work into the world. He is a published author of already three books, as well as the online quotebooks Chilling With the Quotes and Inspired Elements, bringing another dimension to the storytelling and ideas that have always been central to his creativity.
Alongside his music and writing, Gosple Fish is also a professional private detective and the founder of Maximum Investigation and Covert Operations in London.
